Official Ruroc THE BATMAN Design
It was a great opportunity to work alongside Warner Bros and DC on the official Batman helmet, launched in conjunction with THE BATMAN 2022! The darker grainy aesthetic of the new film perfectly aligned with what I wanted to do with this concept.
I wanted the roughness of THE BATMAN film to carry over into this design so it felt like an extension of the film universe rather than merchandise - which is a goal of mine when working with licenses like DC.
The design is made up of hand illustrated panels inspired by Robert Pattinsons bat suit, with special attention paid to the stitching and distressing. The bat suit then transitions to a shroud of bats on the rear of the helmet, in a matching red to the films creative direction. All of the artwork is then laid onto a distressed metallic base and coated in a semi-matte finish.

The rear is a bold red to match THE BATMAN 2022 film aesthetic. The new batwing logo wraps around the rear of my design.
This side view highlights the stitched leather detailing inspired by Robert Pattinsons bat suit.
